ENG: This open letter, endorsed by humanitarian lawyers with ties to Geneva, was addressed to the Swiss authorities on 28 May 2025. It expresses our grave concern about the ongoing violations of international humanitarian law (IHL) in Gaza over the past 20 months, and calls on the Swiss Federal Council and the Swiss Federal Assembly to act in accordance with their legal obligations and humanitarian heritage.

FRA: Cette lettre ouverte, soutenue par des juristes specialisées en droit international humanitaire ayant des liens avec Genève, a été adressée aux autorités suisses le 28 mai 2025. Elle exprime notre grave préoccupation concernant les violations continues du droit international humanitaire (DIH) à Gaza au cours des 20 derniers mois, et appelle le Conseil fédéral suisse ainsi que l'Assemblée fédérale à agir conformément à leurs obligations juridiques et à leur héritage humanitaire.

DEU: Dieser offene Brief, unterstützt von Fachpersonen des internationalen humanitären Völkerrechts mit Verbindungen zu Genf, wurde am 28. Mai 2025 an die Schweizer Behörden gerichtet. Er drückt unsere tiefe Besorgnis über die anhaltenden Verstösse gegen das humanitäre Völkerrecht (HVR) im Gazastreifen in den letzten 20 Monaten aus und fordert den Schweizer Bundesrat sowie die Schweizer Bundesversammlung auf, entsprechend ihren rechtlichen Verpflichtungen und ihrem humanitären Erbe zu handeln.

Esprime la nostra profonda preoccupazione per le continue violazioni del diritto internazionale umanitario (DIU) a Gaza negli ultimi 20 mesi e esorta il Consiglio federale svizzero e l’Assemblea federale svizzera ad agire conformemente ai loro obblighi legali e alla loro tradizione umanitario.
